It all began with a passion for teaching.
Stress Relief CPR was founded by Jackson O’Brien, an award-winning and passionate educator with over nine years of experience teaching American Red Cross programs.
His passion for high quality education and emergency medicine makes for premium, engaging, and fun classes. In 2019, Jackson’s passion and dedication was recognized by the American Red Cross when he was selected as one of the top instructors in the country and given the President’s Club Award in "Recognition of outstanding performance in support of American Red Cross Training Services." In 2021, Jackson was selected to become one of only a small handful of Instructor Trainer Educators, the highest level of instructor the American Red Cross has to offer. Jackson now works for the American Red Cross developing future revisions of courses across aquatics, workplace, and healthcare markets.
In addition to his tenure working for American Red Cross, Jackson also teaches for his local YMCA. At the Y he’s taught lifeguarding courses, swimming lessons, managed staff trainings, and worked as a lifeguard and supervisor. Currently he manages the training and development of over one hundred lifeguards and about ten instructors.
After graduating from college, Jackson earned his EMT and then paramedic certifications. He has been a nationally registered paramedic since 2023. Currently he is an adjunct faculty member at a community college where he has taught over 100 EMT students.
